Notice

Several users of the Wikizine IRC-gateway have reported to have problems when trying to use this service.
The get the error message: CGIWrap Error: Real UID could not be changed!

So if you also have this problem; I (Walter) know about it. If it can be fixt I will fix it. As I do not know a lot (to say the least) about CGI:IRC do not expect any miracles. If you do know a lot about it I could use your help.

The problem seems to occur when several users try to start-up an IRC session at the same time. So please be gentle with this IRC thingy. If it does not work do not start harassing this poor server by many request. You will only make it worse. There are 2 gateways to serve you. If one does not work try the other. Or leave it alone and try again in a couple of minutes.

What you also can do ...

... is not using this service. At least if there is no need for to do so. On your personal computer you are mutch better off with a real IRC-client then this webbased thing.

If needed install FireFox (and support Wikizine) ... and also ChatZilla and you have all you need to go on IRC.
